- Mobility and White Cane Training
- Sharon, a certified O&M instructor, will teach how to safely navigate the student’s surroundings. It can take up to 2 hours a week for 6 months to become proficient and independently navigate using a white cane.
- Braille Instruction
- Ava Ferebee, is our braille instructor. Students can learn up to 5 hours a week for 6 months to become familiar enough to read and write braille.
- Technology Training
- Experienced trainers, who themselves are blind, teach the fundamentals of using cell phones, computers and other technology. Graduates then are more prepared to apply for, and hold, tech-related jobs, thereby creating additional self-worth, confidence and independence.
